SCOPE, CRITERIA AND MECHANISMS OF UPNVJ SEMA SEMARU 2019

Information is hereby conveyed regarding the scope, criteria and mechanism for accepting new students for the self-selection undergraduate program at the Jakarta Veteran National Development University (SEMA UPNVJ) for the 2019 achievement pathway as follows:

  1. The achievement pathway is a selection process carried out by combining UTBK scores and academic/non-academic achievements.
  2. The scope of achievements in SEMA UPNVJ includes science, sports and arts olympiads ranked 1 – 3 at district/city, provincial, national and international levels for the last 3 years, Hafiz Al-Quran at least 5 Juz, Chairman of the OSIS for at least one period and YouTube Content Creator minimum 10,000 subscribers .
  3. This achievement pathway gets a quota of 10% of the independent pathway. Science Olympiad 2%, Sports and Arts 2%, Al Quran Hafiz 2%, OSIS Chair 2%, and YouTube Content Creator 2%.
  4. This achievement pathway applies to all study programs except medical study programs and pharmacy study programs.
  5. The scope, criteria and selection mechanisms for each of these fields are as follows:
    1. Science Olympiad:
      • Prospective participants who can take this route are those who have science olympiad achievements in mathematics, physics, chemistry, informatics/computers, biology, astronomy, economics, earth and geography, both individual and team achievements.
      • The achievement criteria obtained by participants are 1st – 3rd place at provincial, national and international levels in the last 3 years.
      • When registering, prospective participants are required to upload original/colored proof of achievement in the form of a certificate/declaration letter/charter which will then be validated by the selection team.
    2. Sport :
      • Prospective participants who can take this route are those who have individual/single/individual sporting achievements such as chess, badminton, martial arts, gymnastics, swimming, athletics and others.
      • The achievement criteria obtained by participants are 1st – 3rd place at district/city, provincial, national and international levels in the last 3 years.
      • When registering, prospective participants are required to upload original/colored proof of achievement in the form of a certificate/declaration letter/charter which will then be validated by the selection team.
    3. Art :
      • Prospective participants who can take this route are those who have individual/single/individual artistic achievements such as dance, singing, painting/drawing competitions, and others.
      • The achievement criteria obtained by participants are 1st – 3rd place at district/city, provincial, national and international levels in the last 3 years.
      • When registering, prospective participants are required to upload original/colored proof of achievement in the form of a certificate/declaration letter/charter which will then be validated by the selection team.
    4. Hafiz Al Quran:
      • Prospective participants who can take this route are those who are able to memorize at least 5 Juz of the Al-Quran, proven by a photocopy of a certificate/diploma or certificate from an Islamic boarding school, madrasah or Al-Quran tahfiz institution.
      • At the time of registration, prospective participants are required to upload original/coloured proof of a certificate/diploma or certificate from an Islamic boarding school, madrasa or Al-Quran tahfiz institution which will then be validated by the selection team.
      • For those who meet these criteria, they are required to take a retest on memorizing the Al Quran.
    5. Chairman of the Student body :
      • Prospective participants who can take this route are those who have been OSIS Chair (not deputy head/field head/division head/coordinator) during one management period.
      • The criteria for the OSIS Chair are seen from the accreditation of prospective participating schools.
      • When registering, prospective participants are required to upload original/colored proof of school accreditation and a Principal's Letter stating that the participant is truly a student at their school and has been the OSIS president for one period which will then be validated by the selection team.
    6. YouTube Content Creator:
      • Prospective participants who can take this route are those who have a minimum number of (Real) Subscribers of 10,000 Subscribers .
      • Have a minimum of two videos with a minimum of 100,000 viewers each with the criteria of being useful, educational, creative, inspiring, original, interesting and meeting editing standards and good image quality.
      • When registering, prospective participants are required to upload screenshot evidence of their YouTube channel profile and include the address of the prospective participant's YouTube channel link which will then be validated by the selection team.
      • For those who meet these criteria, they are required to take a skills test in the form of making a 3 - 5 minute video with a theme determined by the committee using their respective tools/equipment.
  6. The time and place for the YouTube Content Creator skills test and Al-Quran memorization retest for prospective students who are deemed to meet the requirements will be announced on Tuesday, July 23 2019 and they will then be required to take the skills test and memorization retest which will be held on Wednesday, July 24 2019 to Thursday, 25 July 2019 for the YouTube Content Creator skills test at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, 4th Floor, Rectorate Building, Pondok Labu Campus, UPN Veteran Jakarta, while for the Al-Quran memorization retest at the Mambaul Ullum Mosque, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, Pondok Campus Pumpkin.
