ADMISSION OF NEW STUDENTS TO THE GRADUATE PROGRAM (S-1) AND THE THREE DIPLOMA PROGRAM (D-3)
JAKARTA “VETERAN” NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT UNIVERSITY INDEPENDENT SELECTION PATHWAY 2023

In the context of accepting new students for the Undergraduate Program (S-1) and Diploma Three Program (D-3) Independent Selection Pathway at the Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (SEMA UPNVJ) in 2023, we hereby invite and provide opportunities for interested applicants and fulfill the requirements to register and take part in the 2023 UPNVJ SEMA with complete information as follows:

The SEMA UPNVJ Entry Pathway consists of:

  1. Academic Route : using the 2023 UTBK-SNBT score results and the 2023 State Defense Exam score results as SEMA UPNVJ graduation criteria.
  2. Achievement Track : uses a combination of academic track graduation criteria with academic and/or non-academic achievements, which includes achievements in science, sports and arts olympiads ranked 1 to 3 at national and international levels in the last 3 (three) years, at least 20 hafiz of the Al-Quran juz, Chairman of the OSIS for at least one period, and YouTube content creator with at least 10,000 subscribers. For YouTube content creators and Al-Quran hafiz, a skills test will be carried out according to the specified schedule

SEMA UPNVJ Selection Conditions:

  1. UPNVJ SEMA registrants come from 2023 UTBK-SNBT participants.
  2. Applicants who do not choose the study program at UPN "Veteran" Jakarta in the 2023 SNBT can still take part in the 2023 UPNVJ SEMA.
  3. Applicants can choose the same study program as or different from the choices in the 2023 SNBT (Responsible Independence).
  4. Applicants can only choose 2 (two) study programs.
  5. The UPNVJ SEMA registration fee is IDR 375,000.00 (Three hundred and seventy-five thousand rupiah). Payments can be made at Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), and Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) via teller , ATM, m-banking , and/or internet banking . SEMA UPNVJ Achievement Track:

  1. Achievement Track is a selection process that uses a combination of academic track graduation criteria with academic and/or non-academic achievements.
  2. The scope of achievements in SEMA UPNVJ includes science, sports and arts olympiads ranked 1 to 3 at national and international levels in the last 3 (three) years, hafiz of the Al Quran at least 20 juz, Chairman of the OSIS for at least one period, and the most YouTube content creators. at least 10,000 subscribers .
  3. The Achievement pathway gets a quota of 10% of the entire SEMA UPNVJ pathway with details in the fields of science olympiads 2%, sports and arts 2%, Al Quran hafiz 2%, OSIS chairman 2%, and YouTube content creator 2%.
  4. The Achievement Pathway applies to all study programs, except for the Medical Study Program and Pharmacy Study Program.
  5. The scope, criteria and selection mechanisms for each of these fields are as follows:
    1. Science Olympiad:
      1. Applicants who can take this route are those who have science olympiad achievements in mathematics, physics, chemistry, informatics or computers, biology, astronomy, economics, earth and geography, both individual and team achievements.
      2. The achievement criteria obtained by participants are ranks 1 to 3 at national and international levels in the last 3 (three) years.
      3. Applicants are required to upload original or colored evidence showing their achievements in the form of certificates, certificates and/or charters which will then be validated by the Selection Team.
      4. Applicants are required to upload a statement of willingness to contribute to UPN "Veteran" Jakarta according to their field of expertise with a minimum of 1 achievement per semester at national level.
      5. Applicants are required to fill in the news link from the school's official website or school's official social media regarding their achievements.
    2. Sport:
      1. Applicants who can take this route are those who have individual, single, or individual sporting achievements such as chess, badminton, martial arts, gymnastics, swimming, athletics, and the like.
      2. The achievement criteria obtained by participants are ranks 1 to 3 at national and international levels in the last 3 (three) years.
      3. Applicants are required to upload original or colored evidence showing their achievements in the form of certificates, certificates and/or charters which will then be validated by the Selection Team.
      4. Applicants are required to upload a statement of willingness to contribute to UPN "Veteran" Jakarta according to their field of expertise with a minimum of 1 achievement per semester at national level.
      5. Applicants are required to fill in the news link from the school's official website or school's official social media regarding their achievements.
    3. Art:
      1. Applicants who can take this route are those who have individual, solo, or individual artistic achievements such as dance, singing, painting or drawing competitions, and others.
      2. The achievement criteria obtained by participants are ranks 1 to 3 at national and international levels in the last 3 (three) years.
      3. Applicants are required to upload original or colored evidence showing their achievements in the form of certificates, certificates and/or charters which will then be validated by the Selection Team.
      4. Applicants are required to upload a statement of willingness to contribute to UPN "Veteran" Jakarta according to their field of expertise with a minimum of 1 achievement per semester at national level.
      5. Applicants are required to fill in the news link from the school's official website or school's official social media regarding their achievements.
    4. Hafiz Al Quran:
      1. Applicants who can take this route are those who have memorized at least 20 juz of the Koran as proven by a certificate, diploma or certificate from an Islamic boarding school, madrasah, or Al-Quran tahfiz institution.
      2. Applicants are required to upload original or colored evidence of certificates, diplomas, or certificates from Islamic boarding schools, madrasas, or Al-Quran tahfiz institutions which will then be validated by the Selection Team.
      3. Applicants who meet these criteria are required to take a retest on memorizing the Al Quran.
      4. Applicants are required to upload a statement of willingness to contribute to UPN "Veteran" Jakarta according to their field of expertise with a minimum of 1 achievement per semester at national level.
      5. Applicants are required to fill in the news link from the school's official website or school's official social media regarding their achievements.
    5. Chairman of the Student body:
      1. Applicants who can follow this route are those who have been the OSIS Chair, not deputy chair, division head, division head, coordinator, for at least one management period.
      2. The criteria for the OSIS Chair are seen from the accreditation of the applicant school.
      3. Applicants are required to upload original or colored proof of school accreditation and a Principal's Letter stating that the Applicant is truly a student at their school and has been President of the OSIS for one period which will then be validated by the Selection Team.
      4. Applicants are required to upload a statement of willingness to contribute to UPN "Veteran" Jakarta at least in an active form as an administrator of a student organization at the faculty and university level.
    6. Youtube Creator Content:
      1. Registrants who can follow this route are those who have original subscribers with a total of at least 10,000 subscribers .
      2. Have a minimum of two videos with a minimum of 100,000 viewers each with the criteria of being useful, educational, creative, inspiring, original, interesting, and meeting editing standards, and good image quality.
      3. Applicants are required to upload screenshot evidence from their YouTube channel profile and include the address of the Applicant's YouTube channel link which will then be validated by the Selection Team.
      4. For those who meet these criteria, they are required to take a skills test in the form of making a 3 to 5 minute video with a theme determined by the UPNVJ SEMA Committee using their respective tools or equipment.
      5. Applicants are required to upload a statement of willingness to contribute to UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, creating at least 1 promotional content for UPN "Veteran" Jakarta per semester.​

The time and place for the YouTube content creator skills test and Al-Quran memorization retest for applicants who are deemed to meet the requirements will be announced on Monday, June 26 2023. Furthermore, you are required to take the skills test and memorization retest which will be held on Monday, July 3 2023 .To test the content skills of YouTube creators , it will take place at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Building, 4th Floor, Rectorate Building, Pondok Labu Campus, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta. Meanwhile, the retest for memorizing the Al Quran will take place at the Mambaul Ulum Mosque, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, Pondok Labu Campus.

SEMA UPNVJ Registration Schedule:

Registration for the 2023 SEMA UPNVJ pathway starts Friday, June 2 2023 at 11.00 WIB until Friday, June 23 2023 at 13.00 WIB which is done online via the page: https://penregistran.upnvj.ac.id/

SEMA UPNVJ Registration Procedures:

  1. Applicants enter their full name, place of birth, date of birth, 2023 UTBK - SNBT participant number, NISN, NPSN, cell phone number and email address to get the Form Number and Personal Identification Number (PIN). Make sure to use an active email address and cell phone number.
  2. Applicants will be asked to confirm UTBK – SNBT data for 2023. If appropriate, they can continue with the next step by clicking the “Save” button. If it is not appropriate, registrants are asked to check the 2023 UTBK – SNBT registration data again.
  3. Registrants will be given information regarding the Form Number and PIN which will be sent via email. However, registrants are asked to still record and save the Form Number and PIN (photo/ screenshot ).
  4. Registrants make payments via BNI, BSI and/or BTN to activate the PIN. Payment instructions can be seen on the page https://penmaru.upnvj.ac.id/cara-pembayaran .
  5. After making payment, the Form Number and PIN can be used to log in and continue with the following steps:
    1. Uploading a photograph;
    2. Fill in personal data which includes biodata and data of parents or guardians;
    3. Fill in school origin data;
    4. Choose study program options 1 and 2 (Responsible Independence);
    5. Choose the selection path (Academic or Achievement);
    6. Uploading selection documents (for Achievement Track);
    7. Declare the ability to pay Institutional Development Contributions (SPI);
    8. Download, print, fill out and upload a statement of ability to pay SPI and UKT;
    9. Check the data that has been filled in. If it is appropriate then click "Finalize". If you click "Finalize" then the data will be locked and cannot be edited . Make sure the data entered is correct;
    10. Print SEMA UPNVJ Registration Participant Cards; And
    11. Print SEMA UPNVJ Exam Participant Cards according to schedule

Tuition Fees for UPN Veteran Jakarta Students for SEMA D3 and S1 UPNVJ Pathways 2023/2024

Tuition fees for new students accepted through the SEMA UPNVJ route in 2023 include Single Tuition Fee (UKT) paid per semester and Institutional Development Contribution (SPI) paid at the start of new student admissions as listed in the following table:

1. Purpose of Imposing SPI
The provisions of Article 10 of the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 25 of 2020 concerning Unit Standards for Higher Education Operational Costs at State Universities within the Ministry of Education and Culture state that PTNs can collect institutional development fees as levies and/or other charges besides UKT from diploma program students three and undergraduate programs for students who enter through independent selection.
The purpose of implementing SPI is for institutional development, especially for developing learning facilities and infrastructure and improving the quality of student activities and achievements within the UPNVJ environment.
2. SPI Usage Plan
The SPI usage plan is used for the development of facilities and infrastructure, learning support facilities such as improving laboratory equipment, improving learning support equipment, improving lecture room and faculty facilities, improving learning support facilities and supporting facilities such as campuses, lecture halls, improving learning operational services and also development. /Increase in human resources.
3. Range of SPI size per study program last year (2022)

Payments can be made at BNI, BSI, and/or BTN via teller , ATM, m-banking , or internet banking no later than Tuesday, July 11 2023 at 15.00 WIB until Monday, July 17 2023 at 15.00 WIB. Terms of Payment of Single Tuition Fee (UKT) and Institutional Development Contribution (SPI) SEMA UPNVJ

  1. Prospective new students who are declared to have passed SEMA UPNVJ are required to make payments according to the predetermined schedule, namely Tuesday, July 11 2023 at 15.00 WIB to Monday, July 17 2023 at 15.00 WIB.
  2. Prospective students accepted through the SEMA UPNVJ route who do not make payments according to the predetermined schedule will be declared to have withdrawn.

Quota Provisions, Graduation Criteria, and SEMA UPNVJ Affirmations

  1. The Independent Selection Pathway (SEMA) of the National Development University (UPN) "Veteran" Jakarta is one of the New Student Admission Pathways whose quota is set at 30% (thirty percent) of the total capacity of new students at UPN "Veteran" Jakarta and the number of non-residents is added. re-register for the Test-Based National Selection.
  2. The UPN "Veteran" Jakarta Independent Selection Route (SEMA) quota is divided into a Non-Affirmation Scheme of 60% (sixty percent) and an Affirmation Scheme with a quota of 40% (forty percent). If the Affirmation scheme quota is not met, it will be transferred to the Non-Affirmation scheme quota.
  3. Non-Affirmation Scheme Terms:
  1. The Non-Affirmation Scheme is set with the following quota:
  1. Academic subscheme with a quota of 90% (ninety percent); And
  2. Achievement subscheme with a quota of 10% (ten percent).

If the achievement subscheme quota is not met, it will be transferred to the academic subscheme quota.

  1. The passing criteria used for the Non-Affirmation scheme are as follows:
  1. The academic subscheme uses Computer-Based Writing Examination (UTBK) scores with a weight of 50% (fifty percent) and State Defense Exam scores with a weight of 50% (fifty percent); And
  2. The Achievement Subscheme uses the academic subscheme criteria plus achievement scores.
  1. Affirmation Scheme Terms:
  1. The Affirmation Scheme quota is set at 3 (three) types of affirmations with the following conditions:
  1. The extended family of TNI/POLRI/PNS Kemhan/PNS POLRI is 50% (fifty percent);
  2. The extended family of UPN "Veteran" Jakarta is 45% (forty five percent); And
  3. Alumni is 5% (five percent).

If the quota for one type of Affirmation is not met, it will be transferred to another type of Affirmation.

  1. The scope of the Affirmation Scheme is determined with the following conditions:
  1. The extended family of the TNI/POLRI/PNS Ministry of Defense/PNS POLRI includes members of the TNI/POLRI, civil servants from the Ministry of Defense, civil servants from the POLRI, and retired officers/wredatama.
  2. The extended family of UPN "Veteran" Jakarta which includes permanent lecturers, permanent education staff, and retired UPN "Veteran" Jakarta employees.
  3. Alumni include UPN "Veteran" Jakarta alumni who contribute to the development of UPN "Veteran" Jakarta.
  1. The graduation criteria used for the Affirmation Scheme are the TNI/POLRI/PNS Kemhan/PNS POLRI subscheme, the UPN "Veteran" Jakarta extended family subscheme, and the alumni subscheme uses the academic subscheme criteria.
  2. The status of applicants submitted through the affirmation scheme for extended families of TNI/POLRI/PNS Kemhan/PNS POLRI, extended families of UPN "Veterans" Jakarta, and alumni are biological children .
  3. When submitting an Affirmation application, you must upload the following documents:
    1. Original scan (color) of the Application for Application for Affirmation;

  4. The time period for submitting Affirmation applications is June 3 2023 to June 24 2023 at 13.00 WIB .

SEMA UPNVJ Quota Provisions

If the SEMA S-1 UPNVJ Quota is not fulfilled because a prospective student withdraws, it will be filled by a prospective student who has passed the Reserve.

Implementation of the UPNVJ SEMA State Defense Exam

The implementation of the National Defense exam is one of the stages in admitting new students to the independent selection pathway at the National Development University (UPN) "Veteran" Jakarta. Some things you need to know about the implementation of the State Defense Exam include:

  1. The State Defense Examination is carried out online from home or each place.
  2. Exam Material includes:
    1. Pancasila;
    2. Citizenship;
    3. National Insight; And
    4. National Defense Values
  3. Exam Implementation Time 120 Minutes
  4. The number of National Defense Exam questions is 100 questions
  5. Questions are in 3 forms, namely single choice, multiple choice and cause and effect
  6. The answer choices for each question are (A, B, C, D, E)
  7. Assessment Conditions:
    1. Correct answer value = 1 (one)
    2. Answering wrong value = -0.25 (minus zero point twenty five)
    3. Did not answer value = 0 (zero)
  8. When answering a question, participants cannot return to the previous question
  9. Participants are required to use 1 laptop/computer device with a camera to access the exam application and 1 cellphone device ( smartphone with camera ) to access the Zoom application.
  10. Make sure the cellphone camera in the Zoom application is clearly visible facing the participant and the laptop/computer used for the exam
  11. Make sure electrical power is available during the exam
  12. Make sure the participant's internet connection is stable with a speed of >5 MBps
  13. Make sure you have the exam application and Zoom installed.
  14. Make sure that during the exam, participants enter their username and password in the exam application. Username and Password can be seen on each Exam Participant's Identity Card.
  15. Make sure the naming on Zoom uses the name according to the exam participant's identification card
  16. The exam application and Zoom application must be able to activate the camera and have the camera active during the exam
  17. Participants join Zoom 45 minutes before the exam begins. Participants who are late for any reason will NOT be allowed to take the test.
  18. Participants are NOT ALLOWED to bring logarithm lists, all types of calculators, paper, books or other notes, communication devices such as cell phones (except those used with the Zoom application), watches, cameras, and all types of electronic devices for recording.
  19. Participants are not allowed to talk to anyone during the test.
  20. The exam application will stop automatically when the test time ends
  21. Participants who leave the room after starting the exam and for one reason or another do not return until the end of the exam, are declared to have finished taking the exam.
  22. All forms of violations and/or negligence/non-fulfillment of the provisions above, including all acts of violation or confirmed acts of cheating from suspicious matters will be taken into consideration in making the decision to DISQUALIFICATE participants from the UPN "Veteran" Jakarta State Defense Test.

UPNVJ SEMA Results Announcement

The UPNVJ SEMA graduation results announcement will be made on Monday, July 11 2023 at 15.00 WIB via the page https://pengumuman.upnvj.ac.id/ by logging in first using the Form Number and PIN.

Announcement of the Determination of Indonesian Smart College Card Recipients (KIP Kuliah)

For prospective KIP Kuliah participants who pass SEMA UPNVJ, document-based economic data verification will be carried out through telephone interviews and/or visits to the participant's residence address. Furthermore, the determination of KIP Kuliah recipients will be announced on Friday, July 14 2023 at 15.00 WIB. Quota for KIP Kuliah Recipients for each study program is 1, except for the Bachelor of Information Science and Bachelor of Physiotherapy study programs that cannot receive KIP Kuliah. For those who are determined not to pay UKT and SPI. UKT and SPI are paid by the Government. For those who are not designated as KIP Kuliah recipients, UKT and SPI payments will be made on Friday, July 14 2023 at 15.00 WIB to Monday, July 17 2023 at 15.00 WIB.

Announcement of Determination of Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) Recipients

For participants holding the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP), make sure you are registered as a recipient for 2022 Phase I and/or Phase II. Check the status of KJP recipients via https://kjp.jakarta.go.id/public/cekStatusPenerima.php after being registered as a recipient. If you pass the SEMA UPNVJ selection, you are then required to change your KJP to the Jakarta Excellent Student Card (KJMU) through the school of origin and the Education Department DKI Jakarta. KJP quota for each study program 1. KJP holders who pass the SEMA UPNVJ selection do not pay the SPI and UKT determined by group 3 (for science technology study programs) and group 4 (for social humanities study programs) which are paid by the DKI Jakarta Education Office.

Re-register for SEMA UPNVJ

Prospective new students who have made UKT and SPI payments or who are recipients of KIP Kuliah who have been determined can immediately re-register online starting Tuesday, 11 July 2023 at 15.00 WIB until Monday, 17 July 2023 at 19.00 WIB via the page: regmaba.upnvj.ac.id by logging in first using your Participant Number and date of birth.
